Scrap Happy

Dust some cobwebs off the books and get out your double sided tape. :) The last month or so some of the ladies have been over and we've been having a wonderful "Movie Night".  Along with that movie night, I've enlisted the help to get our wedding book done.  For some reason it has been just looming over me, and not sure if it's because it's finally done (the wedding, the planning) and we've been working so hard over the last seven years, but can't seem to get it done. We have an upcoming "Movie Night" and then the book will be finished.  I'm so grateful for the true friends that I've made and along this journey have enjoyed them very much.  We even have plans for some other books that are more "dolly" oriented.

       

      
 
 
 
 

We Made it To Times Square

Yeah, it took a while for it to get up, but I found our picture from the Share a Kiss at Walgreens in Times Square.  How cool is that?  New York and the East coast is dear to my heart anyway and this was just too perfect.  Now to go and get tons of prints. :) 

 

Wedding Gifts

We finally had gotten a chance to go and see our coordinator and get all of our stuff from the wedding.  My dress, the boy's tuxes, our Handfasting cord, cards and the gifts.  Took just a quick shot of them.

   

Halloween Wedding & Honeymoon Pictures

Wow, it's been a busy happy couple of weeks here at Reddiker Woodes.  All the way from the 29th of October till now.  Everyone who's not on Facebook has been wanting to see the vacation pictures so here you go.  We had a fantastic time at the wedding and even more fantastic time at the resort.  I had never realized how much I loved the ocean until we went down to Negril. I'm uploading about a gazillion pictures, but they each, Wedding, and Honeymoon will have their own album on the left hand side of the blog.  So stay tuned and please enjoy.

Coming Home

Well we out on our last wonderful day of our honeymoon. I have so many pictures to uplaod it might take till
Christmas but that's okay. We've had a fantastic time and hat to leave but will be glad to be home. We did so much and so much to write about. We have a long rest of the day with going back through custom and plane trips. Love you all and see you soon.

TWO DAYS AND COUNTING

Oh my god.  Today we have exactly two days to the big wedding.  So happy.  But today we also are going to be doing a ton of running around.  First off, two hour relaxation of watching Michael Jackson's This is It Movie.  We figured, there is no way we can miss this and we are taking Little Man to see it, so he'll have the ticket stub in his book.  This will be a nice little break for the beginning of the day.  I'm pretty sure that as of this writing, I'm still putting the programs together, but EVERYTHING else is completely done. YAHOOO.  Taking a bunch of stuff to the venue today, getting my hair done, taking Merry to the kennel and trying to get some more shows caught up on.  On Friday we have family friends coming in from out of town and I'm sure we are going to try and hook up with them.  

But some quick photos of the goings on and for me to keep track of.  Everything to take to the reception hall.

Over the weekend, I even got a chance to get a manicure/pedicure.  Felt so good.

EIGHT DAYS AND COUNTING

Little Man has been sick for a couple of days, so getting a ton of stuff caught up on.  He's feeling better, so he can amuse himself again now and his mind is back on cupcakes. :)

Oh my goodness.  I can't believe that the time for the wedding is almost here. As of this post, EIGHT DAYS.  What a wild roller-coaster ride we have had for over a year. So much has been done and still so many little things to get done.  I'm so glad I plan ahead and get everything done that I need to way early and way before it needs to get done, otherwise I'd loose my mind.  Yesterday we had the last meeting with the venue and got pretty much everything finalized, now I can get the rest of the programs and music list done.   I actually got our music down from over 12 hours to just around six hours and I think that will be just enough for the night.

Most of our suitcases have been packed since way in the summer, and just putting the last few things in and getting our carry on bags completed.  Tons of little goodies for Little Man and us to keep us occupied on the plane.  Hopefully though, we'll all just sleep till we have to change planes :)

All of the treat bags, my decorations, license and everything else that I've been making is packed up and ready to go.  The programs just need to be put together and stapled.  Tried to find a better way to attach them, but too many papers for the decorated staples I wanted to use, but that's okay. 

From yesterday on, we've got tons of meetings and places to go and people to see. One final dance lesson even.  We have some good friends coming from out of town on next Friday, so hopefully we'll be able to hook up with them before the wedding.

Even trying to get a full massage, facial, manicure/pedicure in before Monday.  How this is going to get done, the goddess only knows, but we'll try.

I have all of Ash's clothes, shorts, and beach accessories packed and ready to go.  I hope that I can get some good pictures of him also on the beach.  I'm going to miss my little dolly family, and the computer, but it will be so good to get away with Little Man and FireHoth for a much deserved vacation and relaxation before the holiday season starts.  I'm so organized, I've already got our Thanksgiving dinner figured out, YAHOO for me :)

Some Quick Wedding Photos

Last week at this time we went to our favorite Cemetery and had our formal pictures taken by our wonderful photographer. More of the professional ones will be up when I get them, but these were just a few that one of the wedding coordinator assistants took for me with my camera. We did them in the afternoon, just as the sun was coming down and the weather was perfect, no snow/rain/sleet or hail.  Even little man got in on the action and loved tromping through the newly fallen leaves.

 

 

 

Music For the Soul

So we've had our million plus songs from my iTunes list for almost a year, and it's been slowly dwindling down to a manageable amount.  I'm pretty proud of myself because it's gone from over 15 hours (the entire pre-wedding, wedding, post) is only about 10 hours or so and that's with setup time of about four hours also. We want something to listen to while we are there.  So the list has been getting shorter and shorter and I think right now it's down to about nine hours.  Mine and FireHoth's music ranges from 1940's Billie Holiday to Rob Zombies Dragula and literally everything in between: hip hop, dance, old school rap/hip hop, the classics: Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Andy Gibb and the Bee Gees, Garth Brooks, Keith Urban, lots of Folk, New Age, Gothic, Lolita, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and current playlist and top 40.  It's sick the amount of song that I just have alone, let alone what FireHoth has on his iPod.  I love it though and wouldn't give it up.  Little Man is going to grow up with a varied amount of music and that's great.  We want to make sure he knows standards from the 40's to present and pretty much every genre.  Here is one draft of all of them.  I still have to put them in Pre-Wedding, Ceremony, Dance, and Post-Ceremony playlist, but that's actually turing out to be pretty easy. 

A Ghost or a Dress?

... and it's a dress, but in the middle of the night when I have to go to the rest room, it's already scared the hell out of me several times.  The dress is huge, and very heavy but very beautiful.  Got to wear it a few days ago and I didn't want to get out of it.  It's been pressed and even prettier than I remember.  Not sure how they could've made it better, but it is.  I'm going to have to figure out where it's going to hang out after the wedding till each Halloween, because I'm done with being spooked in the middle of the night.

Little trinkets for the trip also. I love Skelanimals and we found these last week.  Little key chains for our carry on luggage.  Three of them and we each get  one.  They will probably all go to Little Man, but that's okay, more for him to play with on the plane.
