A few weeks ago was one of our buddies birthday weekend. We had lots of great food, cool movies, and of course great dollies and action figures. I'm so taken with Pitt I can't stand it. I didn't get a lot of pictures this night, but this one I just have to share. Not sure why, but I just love him. And yes, we had a bubbling cauldron going.
I love getting instant updates from the doll companies and not all actually send out dolls. Some send out great toys, clothes, purses that can actually be used by humans, and vinyl goodies. A few weeks ago the great company in Canada, FeatherFall sent me a notice that some vinyl Steampunk toys were coming out and they are series one, which means there hopefully should be more. I've just got a quick shot of them, and they are still in the box. I think they will look great in backgrounds and on the bookcases.
They are made by Doktor A, hand painted and about four inches tall. I'm intrigued to see what the second series is going to be.
I got the privilege the past couple of weeks to acquire a pink Treeson from one of my friends on Flickr. Wow, didn't realize she was so big, but she's so cute. I was even able to get the little bubble words to go with her, and an extra Snow Treeson. Now it's one big happy family.
Not quite, but my love for the stupid, irresistible toys in the world, has made me start to wonder. I have fallen into the world of Mighty Beanz. Mighty Beanz are put out by Moose Enterprise, from Melbourne Australia, and I just know these are going to come up on some news story about led, or pesticides, or something stupid in them, but for now, I'm trying to get all 100 from the first series. Secretly I'm getting them for Little Man to have one day, but I really like them. They really don't do anything, say anything, you can't eat them, you can't drink them, but they make me laugh and that's really all that's important. So far, Walmart seems to be the perfect place for them, and we haven't encountered many doubles. The doubles that we have gotten have gone to Little Man, and he can do what he wants with them. So far they have found their way all over the living room, and they have to have a special place to sleep in his room at night.
There are at least 100 in the first series, (not sure how many series they are going to be) and in each series about 20 different sets, with five in each set = 100. We are up to about 49 right now in just a weekend. There are some sets like Fantasy Beanz (my personal favorite), Monkey Beanz, Sports Beanz, Bear Beanz, Sick Beanz (too funny), Fast Food Beanz and so on. There are even traveling cases for them to store and keep and some goofy games to play and try and get your friends Beanz. Here are just some of our recent ones.
I've even made them their own album on Flick, because you know, I'll have to put them in their proper categories eventually.
FYI: never, under any circumstance, give a person with an addictive personality something like this. LOL
Saturday before last we all went to see the movie 9. 9 is Tim Burton's and Timur Bekmambetov's animated movie that is set in our world after we destroy it. It's was only about 80 minutes long, but so cool. Steampunk, apocalyptic world and little dolls that move on their own. So naturally I had to have them and the hunt was on. Found them on Monday, they got delivered Thursday. So far just Number 1 and Number 9 are out, but I know I'll find the rest. I'm not sure where they will end up at Reddiker Woodes, but right now they are taking watch on by the Mini Wheat Stage.

FireHoth has been making models for the summer and his newest one, which is the third one is a beautiful B-17 Bomber, El Lobo 2. He's put so much time into these and painting even the smallest detail that's barely visible to the naked eye, so I have to share.

Yes, more toys for props have arrived, and was amazed at how quickly I got them. Japan toys have just taken over the Woodes, and these Tokidoki Cactus Pups are no exception. I got the set of seven of them, and they actually are everywhere in the new house. Pearl has one, Claudia & Bethany have one and Ash has the other five. Each pup comes with his/her own toy/accessory, which is even funnier. They might be odd, but are great for macro pictures. They are about 1 inch tall. There are bigger ones also that are about three inches. I have a feeling they will be as addicting as the Dunny's. I've got a huge almost 3 foot by 3 foot tall shadow box that needs to be brought up from the basement, sanded and painted, and pretty sure is where these are all going to be housed.
One of our local malls has an Urban Outfitters store in it, and although we don't get the clothing from there, they do have a section of great books and unusual Japanese toys and there is no shipping charge. The other day I picked up a great Where's Waldo the ultimate travel book, and found some blind Dunny Packages. Dunny's are little plastic action figures that have a huge following on Flicker. I've been wanting to get some and have a little collection but really didn't want to pay a huge shipping fee for a $5.00 toy. But Urban Outfitters is carrying them now and that's kind of cool. The ones they have are the Ye Old English ones and I got a little girl in my blind package. These are a limited edition and just cute. Silly little toys for props and they are great to take macro pictures of.
Yesterdays post showed all of the goodies for Pearl, but Little Man actually got something very cute and yummy. He received from his "aunty" a little bag of mixed candy and Mike from Monsters Inc. Thank you lace52000, Little Man loves it and it's been everywhere in the house.
