Title and Epitaph

My body was here
But now it's gone
May these words live forever
For to thee, they're passed on

I love you, but believe me
I was all alone
"The Man", that is
Underneath this stone

You were right when you thought
"Together, we've grown"
I've seen it, 'tis true
From the lives that we've known
Always equal and there for each other
You must think it true, to call me your brother
A friends' eternal flame
They think they can smother
But they'll never overcome
Our Love from Earth Mother

A mortal's unearthly strength amplified
By one much more reverent than "just blind luck"
Mark well, my friends, all comes in three
The Highest level of which will eternally conduct

You think you'll wish for some wisdom to ponder
Exactly why we're here not to chaotically wander
Do you seek my riddle or just for the answer?
If your heart is true, think not of query two
Keep your eyes open for the Muse and the Dancer
Watch what they do and the riddle will come from you.

For ages and ages, you've played a pretty good role
To have many riddles inscribed on your soul
Your wisdom is immense, some day you will see
These words come from all and not just from me

Now if you don't mind, I'll get back to my point
So relax, sit back, and spark up a joint

I see you when you're here, remembering the past
Subtle proof we were right saying real friendships last
Weep only briefly, my friend, we've amassed
Countless players for the story in which we were cast

Oh crap!!  I feel another epiphany coming on
Hold fast and be ready for this ride we're upon
Hmm.  I think, "what if it's like this?"
The pain of "right now" is actually bliss.
We chose where, when and how we were here
So in the scheme of it all, how could we fear?

Just to remind you, this is all theoretical
Fantasy?  Maybe.  But our bodies are our temple
I think we can call it all 'metaclinical'

They say there's a bridge between science and fiction
But study from the smartest and you'll say with conviction
Nothing you see is real, it's just the minds interpretation
What you expect and perceive
Are nearly opposite in a thought's conception

Is why I know I can teach this to you
But don't pass it on unless you've seen it too
Cuz conflict may follow that you cannot undo

Damn near a whole page of writing was spawned
From one passing thought, could've come from a blond
That's about it, I'll get back to my course
Path, road, whatever, simply the source

Speak if you wish, for certain, I will hear
Now is the time, we've made our minds clear
You've been granted a time of silence....
Thank you, you're kind

But I've one more thing to tell
That is, if you don't mind
This swan song over again
Many times you may read
And recall bits and pieces
When you are in need
Laughter in battle
Was our simple creed
Yes, 'twas simple
To plant the eternal seed.

Stone Summer

And so I rest
With the sun at his peak
His heat upon my chest
I've been lying here all week.
Along comes a passer by
Whistling a summer tune
Take me home, I scream, but why?
When my favorite time to be, is June.
If it is to be then he just might
Spot me, collect me, and take me South
Beyond the border of day and night
But he hears me not, for I have no mouth

Oh, the beauty of this day
For me, should last forever more
I've energy, so I understand the way
You must work for reap in three months more.

Perpetrating a Thought

We first met briefly, eye 2 eye

    Often and sweetly,

        Know not?

            "No, not I."

Must have been a passing thought.
Turning our heads while thinking, "NOT!"
"Not what?"  Is, often times, my query.
How could they possibly know why I'm weary?
"A shell?! Oh, well"

We thought it was fun and we could just 'run'.
But not even that, in our minds as we sat.
Fighting to chat 'bout a joint super phat.
Comedy's a pun?  Ponder puzzle number one.

Lip Service - The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful
Lessons In Patience So Everyone Righteously Viscous Is Carefully Extracted

The Good, the Bad and the Beautiful - Introduction
We've been walking this walk for nearly 33 years
We're older and wiser, we've seen many come and go
We've laughed a million laughs and shared a million tears
All for the good of each other, you know
What you'll see here today, you may enjoy a bit
May or may not, but you'll certainly relate
We'll think of all those of whom we've given a shit
The beautiful ones who would do something great

Book One - The Good
So tell me, my new friend, do you recognize
That I am you and you are me?
As I see by my light in your eyes
No, young one, I've barely begun to see
Delicious, I am, can you SEE THAT?
Think not that I'm blind, of course that I see
And look in the mirror, can't you see that?
Look, I told you, I SEE, that's not me
Lo and behold, I believe what we've found
Is a big ole bad ass that wouldn't hurt a thing
That is, unless, you intrude on family ground
Sure enough, he's one of us.  I've heard this Angel sing
And the thing is, he hasn't a conscious clue
Love is in his heart but confusion's in his head
Old wounds are deep, his shell is cold and blue
Now I'll terra down the walls and wake up the dead
Gee, I didn't realize how fucked up you really were
Really, this hard work has cost me some soul
Oh, I was fucked up too, so now I'm really sure
All of this was for the best, or we'd be in a six-foot hole
Dreams like these are boring but make sense
Mourning and laughing are seldom in the plot
Although this story's long, and not very intense
Necessary it was to provoke a familiar thought

Book Two - The Bad
Brotherhood is on our mind
Outside of how we seem
Our friends know that we are truly kind
Great friends, they are, and part of the team
In the beginning you were entirely on wit
Envisioning justice is how you perceived
When you asked if you could harm me wherever I sit
Overjoyed, I was, because you truly believed
On the other hand, it was tough dodging those blows
Gently cushioning your words and looks
Inside I knew you could talk to the crows
Envious a little about how you read your books
Within time, you saw the frightened look in their eyes
Our patience with you will someday pay off
Ownership of your mind is what experience buys
Granted, you don't blow it buy buying into scoff
Inside you'll understand, you weren't really that Bad
Everything you've said and done was part of our plan
Make laughter out of tears and happiness from sad
Understand that it is you that makes you happy, man
That patience is a virtue, no matter how you do your thing
Having the compassion you've developed is a great tool too
And sharing knowledge with those who like to sing
From the heart, show your love with those who show you
Underneath our exteriors shine an omnipresent light
Clouded sometimes by the walls we put up
Kindness is Universal, to those with second sight
And we know you've grown a lot, you're no longer the pup

Book Three - The Beautiful
Beautiful, you are, lest you count the ways
Everything about you, stranger, so tell us more
Average is your reply, we're all the same these days
Unfortunately, we've all hear this answer before
Then I think to myself, about what beauty means to me
Yes, it goes much deeper than the skin
Inside is what matters, as far as you can see
Sadly, the majority thinks beauty's tan and thin
If I ask the average muggle what catches their eye
Nice body, cute smile, pretty face and styled hair
For the patient thinkers, however, the mundane is a lie
Inside there's a Universe, about that is what we care
Not even for a moment, shall I look to the past
In which I saw beauty that was only skin deep
The God/dess lies within, and my love for her will last
Eternally, that's forever, my love for her she'll keep
For all of those who know exactly what I mean
Recognizing that feeling that is all so clear
On the outside, pleasant qualities are not exactly what they seem
Mine shines from inside, yours does too, my dear
Think about this concept from time to time
Her beauty is in all of us, no matter how we look
Even if you don't understand this steady rhyme
Others will admire what from this rhyme you took
Understanding patience opens many, many doors
The patience we have for those we don't even know
So often when you use it, you expand upon yours
Inner beauty will grow brighter, and it will surely show
Deeper you will look, and see that there is no end
Exactly like staring deep into outer space
In infinite inner space is where my life I choose to spend
Natural beauty is from there, and not painted on your face

Lessons In Patience - Closing
In closing, I would first like to quote my favorite song lyrics by Pink
Floyd from the movie "The Wall"

"All alone or in twos, the ones who really love you are gathered together outside the wall.
Some hand in hand, some gathered together in bands, the bleeding hearts and the artists make their stand.

And when they've given you their all, some stagger and fall.  After all, it's not easy banging your heart against some
Mad bugger's wall."
If you didn't already, I hope now you can truly believe that "Patience is a Virtue"

Poetry Day Three

To Autumn, From Pluto

Reds and yellows to the left of me
Orange and brown to my left
I'm not in the middle, you're in front of me
If I'm in the dark, you're the light

Echoes from eons beyond, yet reflecting us all
Glimpses of a twin with a rhyme
Two together, one not Spring, the other is Fall
One is called space, the other called time

I hope you don't mind, I've taken some leave
Haven't gone anywhere, just stepped aside
A simple though, twisted slightly to conceive
A space in our self, where which I can confide

If I hitch a ride on a tachyon, would I be home for the New Year?
If I hitch a ride on a tachyon, will you see me before I'm home?

Maybe, most definitely.......

You Who Would Decipher My Riddle

I ask one thing before and as you seek my riddle
To let the spiral spun by my fiddle
Not reject but attract your glowing green middle

When first we met
I seemed unaware
Of your kaleidoscope eyes
And beautiful hair
You thought I was cool
But still seemed the fool
And you knew not
If you really should care

            We say

                        And I stand watch

Poetry Day One

I've had these poems from my good friend Dreamweaver sitting on my hard drive forever.  I had put some up on the old site, but now they need to be showcased here.  I hope you enjoy, and thank you Dreamweaver. Sorry so late.

Spill Your Guts

Forgive me my friend
Sometimes I am blind
Ignorant to your pain
While in touch with your mind
Yet other times, your thoughts don't show
And I'll feel your pain before I know
What was on your mind has fallen below
A layer of ice a dozen thoughts deep or so

Now, we've heard and spoken these words before
Not just a passing thought before moving on
They were thrown on the wall and spewn on the floor
And there never was an answer to "What's going on?!"
Because it was a riddle and only I knew it
And as usual, noone came up with the answer to it
But before you write it off as "Oh well, he really blew it."
You might learn and understand to see why I do it
Because learning is a door and realization is the key
I'm telling you a little more so you can learn that "I DID SEE."

It's toward wisdom that I walk to
Opening doors along the way
Always in hopes of someone to talk to
But if they want to know more, I got nothing to say
But if they wish, I'll tell a tale
Paint a picture, if you will
I'm an expressionist, an artist, my canvas is my shell
A story on the outside while on the inside...
