I always seem to get caught up in trying to get posts done in some sort of time frame that I set out for myself and that's just crazy. I'll end up with a ton of pictures, and then dread coming over here to get them done. I really need to stop doing that and just put up pictuers when I have them and not worry as much if they have titles or an actual reason for being on here. I've got so many "photoshoots" and actual "stories" that I want to do that when I have just pictures from a day out I will fret over getting them where they need to be. SO NO MORE OF THAT. I've been cleaning out bookmarks of other people that I adore to look at and they just put up pictures, no captions, no big fancy story.  They just do it. So..

Joey's House

So Joey and Izzy will be coming back soon. Hopefully Hurricane Irene wont make them later than what they are. I'm so excited to have them back and can't wait to see them. But while they are gone, I finally started to work on the little Jenny Wren dollhouse I got at the begining of the year. It came with the Magpie, which is now known as Gray Gardens. And now with putting up these pictures of this little house, I haven't even blogged about Gray Gardnes, going to have to fix that in the next few days.

I love how cute this little house is and how it matches it's big sister. I'm going to keep the same colors as Gray Gardens, even though it wont be in the same room. This way if they are ever togther again, they will always match. And the white and clean lines make it classy looking. I'm putting the same brick paper on the outside and the same paper for the shingles. I'm hoping to get it all finished this week and get it settled in it's new home on top of Hyacinth Cottage.

It'll be the perfect little place for Joey to hang out and keep all of her stuff. She won't be taking up room in her sisters room but she'll be close. This also gives me the time to fix the top of the cottage also and make it more user friendly. Yeah for me.  So just some quick photos of it being dry fitted and primer painted white.

   

 

   

  
    

Found Items Shadow Box for Constance

I have his this project sitting on the shelf literally for months to get done. First I had to get Constance's room finished, which meant taking all of the old wall paper down, putting up new, doing the trim and arranging the furniture to actually display what I wanted to do. Her bedding will be done by Bunny and then her room will be done. She's had a lot of stuff in her room that was jus random and after the years really didn't belong there, but the stuff she needed didn't' have a place. So what's the best thing that a scrap booker can do who owns dolls? Add the two together.

I have been in love with altered art and found objects for a while now but haven’t really had a chance to get anything done until now. I was looking at an old shadow box I had in the doll room and decided now was the time to get one done and make it for my Constance.

So a quick trip to Hobby Lobby to get some really cool moss and some other items and pulled out my huge box of altered art supplies and Constance now has her very own miniature bookcase of goodies for her room and her room isn’t as cluttered.

And finally done. I’m so happy with how it turned out and I think Constance is happy also. See below pictures.

 

Each individual box was customized just for her and can come out and be rearranged, but right now I like how they are set up.

Joey’s Help For Japan

So this has only been in the house for months, but have just now gotten around to posting Joey’s new outfit. During the recent Japan quake, one of my very talented sewer friends made an outfit for Lati Yellow/Puki Fee size dolls and I was the lucky winner of the auction. I have wanted a first hand ShazDolls outfit for so long and happened to be on evilBay as it was up for auction and won it. I had wanted to post it earlier but was waiting on some new Captured in Glass eyes for Joey before I put her pictures up. Well, I’ve got the eyes, but she still looks like a deer in headlight look, but the outfit is just way to cut to not post. All the proceeds went to the Japan relief fund.

And I actually want a real little girl. Joey, our latest residence to the woodes, has apparently gotten my paypal account and decided that she needed new outfits and shoes. I've heard that there is package on it's way here full of just shoes for her. This first photo is from a recent trek over to Denver Doll. Since the twins and Pearl are off at the spa she has also pilfered some of their outfits. I tell you, she's just unstoppable.

I do have to admit that the Ruby Red Gallery shoes are magic. She can pose so wonderfuly in these. They are like magick shoes.

   

She's just too sweet. But her sister really needs to get here so she can keep an eye on her.

Last Doll for the End of the Year

One of the last dolls that is coming into the Woodes is a brand new Fairyland PukiFee Luna (Alice) fullset. She is going to be the little sister to Izzy, my reporter who is also getting a dramatic makeover, more on her in the new year, but I couldn't help but put up some quick pictures of this darling little one. She the same size as the Lati Yellows, but has the Fairyland possibility.  She is actually the same mold as what Izzy is going to be, (so they will make great sisters) but slightly smaller. I had put her in lay-a-way when Fairyland did their Christmas Event a few weeks ago, and hadn't thought about getting her out until the "new" Izzy came home.  I was able to find everything on my list that I needed for these two at DDE and the only thing that needed to be pre-ordered was Izzy's new body (FL LittleFee) two sets of hands, a pari of jeans and a pair of shoes. Everything else was already at DDE. Well the other day FireHoth surprised me with getting her out of lay-a-way.  What a great husband he is. I was so shocked that she got to come home now and I just couldn't resist putting up pictures of her now. She still doesn't have a name yet, but there are a few in the running. But for now, here is the cute little one.  For her character she's about 13/14 years old. Still that girly, girl, loves dressing up but can be a tomboy if she wants to.

DDE was lucky enough to have three extra full sets of her around so all of her cute outfits came with her, along with a little bear and extra set of hands and sleeping face.

Had to trim up both wigs and her bangs.  I swear, I still don't know why the companies make the wigs so that they either don't fit or you can't see their face.

   
She was very tired and decided to take a little nap. It's tough being a teenager.

I'm actually pretty pleased with her default makeup. They did a very good job on both faces.

Everyone should own a pair of striped stockings.

Along with putting the PukiFee in lay-a-way, I had put this dress for Serenity and pair of pink shoes and pair of white shoes. She got an early Christmas present and was very happy to be out of her Christmas dress.

Serenity has also gotten a new faceup in the last couple of months and blushing and looks much better than the default that she came with. She looks like herself again.
