I Don't Even Have This Many Closets

Yes, my dolls are very spoiled.  Over the winter we had actually made a little closet that I thought I was going to put some of the Little ones clothes in.  It was going to sit on the wall, in front of Hyacinth Cottage, but it's never gotten up yet.  So while out last week at Target, I spotted this, and already done.

     
 
It's the Our Generation doll wardrobe, and completely built.  I love the idea of the shelves on the left, the little drawer and the mirror with seat.  The little bows just kill me.  

     

Here is Evelynn testing it out with her clothes.  It's perfect for the 16inch MSD's.  I think I'm going to be putting in all of theirs, (Evelynn, Harley & Nyteshade) and probably Izzy's. 

 

It even has holes and molly bolts to attach to the wall, but for now, I have it sitting over House Mysterium. So I still have the room for the first one we made, and might actually be able to arrange the little ones clothes even better.

     
 
 
 
 

Tufted Chairs

I haven't been able to get the rest of my furniture painted this past week, because the weather has been just too cold, so I've had to wait and rely on the mail to bring new items, and that leads me to my little bronze tufted jewelry box chair came in the mail last week and it's even prettier than what I thought it was.  I thought that the mirror in the back was a jewel of amber, but it's not and that's okay.  The little seat comes off and she can hide little trinkets in it for safe keeping.  And compared to the first chair, it's not that much bigger.

      

Redecorating Rooms

So I've gotten my papers to start re-doing Noir's old room, but just can't get the right look that I'm wanting yet.  I've just taken some early pictures and have cleared most of everything thing out  Some of the old Barbie/Bratz furniture has been repainted, but it's still not looking right.  I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I know I'll figure it out.

Bon Jour

So with the "wish list" for this year started, I have decided to redo Noir's old room.  She might be going, she might be staying, I'm not sure yet.  If she does stay, she'll be going into the Alice Room, and might turn into the Queen of Hearts and hang out with the MSD Johnny Depp Head (yes, no body yet).  When I had first gotten Noir, everything and I mean everything was dark, black, red, deep purple, ugggh.  With moving into the other room and changing pretty much all of the color schemes around, some characters got changed slightly also.  Everyone except for Noir.  Her room is very heavy, black, and red. I had even had a special case made for her when she first came in also, but now I'm rethinking where I want her to either go or the character.  

With just the thought of Penelope, Hathar or Ruby coming home in the next year, I've already figured out her small history, name, and background. (much more on these little beauties later)  One very huge part of her coming is that she has traveled the world and has landed here in Reddiker Woodes, but before she cane take up residence, her room(s) need to be done.  In thinking of how dainty this little creature is, the first things that came to my mind were PARIS.

I have always wanted to do a strictly Paris type of room, and while out over the weekend, Michael's had a huge sale on paper, and not just paper, but a new line that's French inspired, and 12x12 papers.  I see cream colored furniture, pinks, blacks and poodles.  So to keep my mind off from whenever these little beauties might be made, or I might have the chance to win one, I decided to change what will be her future room.  I can see her just lounging on the furniture, eating chocolate, staring longly out into cemetery. But until JoAnna Turtledove is born and comes home, I get to decorate, and decorate I shall.

This will also get me going on Evelynn's Purple redo also. :)

Finished Dolls Dollhouse Pt. ONE

Yeah for me.  I have had my dolls Doll house done for a while now, but hadn't gotten the finished pictures taken yet.  There are a few missing from the picture, but they are either out at the spa, or totally new dollies are coming in to take over existing characters.  But here is the finished Doll House.

Evil Stage's.  Mr Nyteshade is resting on top, but his head is out at the barber shop.

Noir's room.  Scarlett and Sonya hang out with the keeper of the Petite Court.  The room above has not been designated yet, so some extra props are there.

Constance's bedroom.  She still needs a few pictures on the wall, but other wise, I love how this room turned out.

Wallpapering/Trim is Done

MOVE IN DAY IS HERE

Well, it's done.  By the time that this posts, I'll have all of the rooms trimmed up and for the most part decorated.  Many hours of taping, measuring, seaming and cussing.  I'm so excited, and now I might actually be able to get some stories up and all of the profiles.  So here it is so far, just wallpaper, trims and each member in their respective rooms.  More detailed pictures forthcoming.

Now to start the task of not only moving everything over from the other room, but ALL of the "rooms" will need to be decorated, lighted and made pretty first.  One thing that I've decided to do this time around is make some things easy on myself.  On our weekly trips out to Home Depot/Lowes, I found contact paper in a huge roll for under $20.00 that was simulated wood grain.  We figured that this would be fantastic as "wood floors" for ALL of the rooms.  It's easy to cut, can be removed if needed, and looks uniform.

With having Little Man in the house, he loves to come into any room that we are in, and I've been letting him in more and more. Well the other night, him and his daddy came in and decided to check out the new cabinets and see just how sturdy they really are.

I think I've got the approval from Little Man to start decorating.

Office's, Dollhouse's, Paint, Oh My Pt2

Okay, so it's been a few weeks, and the room has finally been cleared out and painted.
These first two pictures are of the completely empty room.  It was so odd with all of FireHoths stuff out of it.  Almost reminded us of when we first moved into to the house.
The papers that are on the floor were of how the new cabinets were going to go in.  It's a good thing that I checked it, because I had to actually move one of the cabinets to the back wall.

These pictures are of the room finally painted in Marine Blue and Crisp White on the ceiling and trims. I already had switched out the white shears for the new pink ones, and started to bring in some of my dolly props and boxes in the closet.  Firehoth and I had already put up the Elfa shelving and brought in the Evil Stage before the cabinets came in.

Last Monday the cabinets actually came in, and are beautiful. I can't say enough about the company that did them, and they had came in way less expensive than any other ones that I called and checked.

On the left hand side of the room, is the main Reddiker Woodes gang, and the Two Sprites Pub.  On the right hand side of the room is Hyacinth Cottage, Haydens Grotto and both stages, along with the Alice group.

Room from the back of the window out to door and better picture of the right side.  It looks like a tight space, but the room in between both sides is actually quite nice.  Big enough for Little Man to do many somersaults in.
