Okay, who knew staying up way past midnight and not playing on the computer, (me surfing, or FireHoth playing WOW) would be so tiring. But as a spur of the moment decision, and I mean hours before midnight on Friday, me, FireHoth and Little Man went to our local Borders bookstore, and stood in line, (well, FireHoth stood in line), Chase and I went shopping and wound up reading books for two hours. We got our very own copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Didn't get home till almost 2AM and didn't get everyone in bed till almost 3AM, but it was so worth it.
There were so many people, (kids, parents, grandparents) there and everyone was dressed up just waiting and anticipating the midnight release. We had gone to the toy store when FireHoth got home, (Izzy needed some things), went to eat dinner and wound up at Borders, got a purple wrist strap, then came home. That was 8:30PM. We put Little Man in his PJ's, and waited to see what he would do from 9PM till 11PM. Well, he's such a little trooper, and just played, and played, till we got ready to go. Didn't even realize that he shoul'dve been in bed, hours before.
We loaded him up in the truck, PJ's and all, food, milk, water, diapers, and went to Borders. Arrived at around 11:10PM, got in line to get coffee, (how elese were we going to stay up and drive home) and talked to everyone. Most of the parents that were there, were wondering the same, thing, "How the hell am I going to stay up to drive my child home"? But all was good. The costumes the camaraderie, and the coffee was great, did I mention the need for coffee? Anyway, Little Man wasn't even the youngest one there. There was a one year old that was just as awake as he was. Hell, most of the seven year olds were under the tables asleep. Wussies, it was only 1AM, what was their problem?
I had taken my Bambicrony Pepe girl, (Izzy) dressed in her finest and I think she had a good time also.
Well, didn't get a lot of pictures, but got important ones for Little Man's scrapbook. He can say now that he was at the LAST BOOK ever released. He can tell his children now that he was there in all of the craze.
WE HAD A BLAST
NOW WE ALL NEED A NAP
