Spring Cleaning of the Blog

Whoosh.  I'm beat.  No pictures really today, just an update. Since about a week now I've deleted all of my old categories on the blog, and re-did them.  I'm almost done with over 500+ posts and categorizing them a little better.  This is something that I've been wanting to get done for a while, but didn't want to do it, kind of like cleaning the bathrooms. You know you need to, just don't want to, or want someone else to do it.  I had been searching for certain posts and couldn't find them, because my categories were all screwed up.  So now after over a week or so, I've gotten each doll where they need to be, Little Man, holidays, photos, jokes, and everything else in their proper places.  I feel like a weight has been lifted.  Also getting profiles updated, and deleting dolls I no longer have.

At the same time of doing this, I'm also redoing my "dolly book".  I had it in a small Compact size day-timer, but with Ash and Pearl being in the main part of the house now and a lot of photos and stories with them, my little book needed to be updated and put into a Classic size day-timer.  More on this later and pictures.  Love spring cleaning.

Must Change Background

I love the backgrounds from Typepad, but sometimes the margins are way to small.  I like to be able to put up two pictures on row as to just the one with some of the themes, so since Christmas is over, I'm going back to a regular background.  My snowy snow man is cute, but the margins are making me nuts. :)  So for the next several days the background will change a lot.

Christmassy Layout

That's right girls and boys, Christmas time is in the air, and the layout has to change till the end of the year.  I love being on Typepad and the ability to change backgrounds at will.  The next few weeks might not have as many posts as I'd like, just lots of holiday goodness going on and much to do.

400th Post

Yippee.  I'm overjoyed at the fact that I've gotten to my 400th post.  This little adventure started out May of 2007 and I really thought that I wouldn't be able to post as much as what I have come to do, but I'm so excited about it.  When I had started with Typepad, I had currently been on iWeb with my MacBook, but it was constantly crashing and just way to slow for the amount of content that I wanted to add.  I also had started this with the reality of just talking and posting about the dolls, but it's been so much more than that.  

Over at Notes From the Cottage is actually suppose to be the main dolly blog, and it still will be in time.  I really want Izzy to get some things done and take over more, but the beginning of this year I made a resolution that I would post everyday no matter what and looking back on it, I've pretty much kept up my end of the bargain.  With the upcoming nuptials there will be lots of posts on that too.  I've also started another blog in conjunction with Reddiker Woodes that will solely be my Zen page so to speak, and still migrating content from the old iWeb pages, but it's coming along rather well.

More stories of my little gang will hopefully be up and all of their profiles written out, and the book is in progress as we speak.  I love being on Typepad, because I don't have to worry about doing anything really except type.  I love the fact that I can change backgrounds on all three blogs at the swipe of a button and click it's done, and for $90.00 a year and three blogs running at the same time, what more can you ask for.  I so look forward to 400+more and being able to bring fun stories and tidbits everyday.  Being able to have sat down and actually did 400 posts, (not counting the 50+ so on the other two blogs) is a feat in itself.  That means, I've actually just took the time, sat, brought up pictures and made stories, written about Little Man and his crazy upbringing, shared thoughts and ideas, done a tone of quizzes and have just had a blast.

I've got so many other stories, and little photos that I want to do so getting another 400 should be pretty easy.  I've got dozens of conversations in my head just swirling around that they have to go somewhere and here's a good enough place as any.  Hell just my Re-ment pictures alone will take 100 posts if it's done one a day how I really want to do them.  Even my "picture a day" of the dolls would take a good 200+, so I look forward to that.  That list is insane.

So thank you everyone who have commented and checked out my little star in the universe and helped me along.  Thank you Haute Doll also for taking the time to check it out and thought well enough to put me in your pages this past fall, that honor alone is going to be the most memorable.  But most of all, thank you FireHoth for being the man you are for giving me the time to play and get this done.  Without you supporting me and taking Little Man in the evenings for your "male bonding", it would be a little harder to have hit 400.  Not impossible, but a little longer.  Thank you also for feeding my dolly obsession also and for believing that they do matter and if it makes mommy happy then everyone else in the house is happier.  Thank you also Little Man for just being so damn cute so that everyone wants to see you and this is the easiest way for that to happen.  My boys rock the d'house.

Testing from iPhone

First post from the iPhone. I've been wanting to work with Evelynn lately, so she's been traveling around the house. Also working on using both my thumbs to type. Evelynn is sitting on my lap to have her story told. I've put on her sleeping head and changed her wig. She's also been wearing her Dollheart Purple Fer lately and looks quite elegant and sad.

Blogging Made Easier

Yippee, I can blog from my iPhone made possible by TypePad.  I knew there was a reason why I like this service and I love my iPhone.

Even Ash will blog on the go now. :) ha ha ha ha

New Colors

Yeah, went to go and look for new layouts/themes, and really wanted to find a Halloween type, but don't want an all black, midnight theme, so I found Lone Tree Brown.  I like this one, it's kinda autumnal, and will work for now.

New Background?

HI all.  Just a quick note.  Typepad got new themes up, YAHOOO.  So thought I'd come in and change a little and see how it looks.  Pretty for summer.  There is so much going on here at the Woodes:
New dollies, new outfits, dollies going out to others, new faceups, aaaagghhh.  Much goodness coming in the next week.  Hope you all are doing good and will be posting in a few days.
