Yes, do the wave we have our baby daughter in our home and she's wonderful. Not everyone knows, but we have been in the process for the last year on adopting an infant baby girl. There have been a lot of long days, nights, weeks and months but she's finally with us. Pretty much the entire month of December we travled, up and down I-80 and anyone on this side of Colorado knows just what a sucky drive that is. It's just super long, super straight and SUPER BORING, but the end result was a precious baby girl that is all ours.
Here are just a few pictures of when we got to meet her for the first time, just hours after she was born and before we were able to take her home. The rest can be seen here Honey Bunny Birthday, Honey Bunny 1st Month, and already starting on Honey Bunny 2nd month. And no, Honey Bunny is not her name, it's the nickname we've given to her becuase she is just a cute bunny of a thing. We are having so much fun with her and can't wait to see her personality turns out. Little Man just loves her to death, and is always hugging her, kissing her and wanting to know what she's doing. When we pick him up from school he tells her everything that went on first before he tells us, so that means that she'll start speaking SUPER QUICK, even faster than her brother then oh lord.
She is only a month old right now and already has daddy wrapped around her little finger, it's precious. She's actually got us all wrapped around her fingers. Our family seems complete now. Seems like she was always there just out of the picture shot. I know we are going to have so much fun with her, and that's one reason why I'm starting the blog again.
When Little Man was born I made a mix CD for him that were songs that made me feel closer to him and reminded me of him even before he was born, and I've also done that with Little Miss also, but more of an up to date version. So what I want to do is every so many days, make a post and put up every song that is on both of their CD's, who performed them, the lyrics and why I picked the songs that I did. Little Man has listened to his for the last several years and loves them so I hope that she loves her and appreciates them also. All the songs are from my heart and have a special meaning.
I love seeing the two of them together. I had wanted Little Man to be closer in age when we got her, but as it is, they are six years and eight days apart and in a way that works out well. He can be in school during the day while I'm home with her and I can do all of the schooling and teaching that I use to do with him, now with her when she gets older. I'm also looking forward to ALL of the great pink froffy dresses, white patent leather shoes, skirts and hair ties for her :), manicure, and pedicures and just that mother daughter bond.
I had often wondered with not giving birth to her naturally how I was going to feel, but when we were in the hospital and they wheeled her bassinet in, I fell immediatly in love with her like I did her brother. Word can't describe the emotions that went through all three of us when we saw her, it was truely love at first site for us and that feeling is still with us and I dont think it's going to go away. Each day, even after 30 days she's changing so much. She's so alert, she can already lift her neck and has some super strong neck muceles already, which is crazy for a one month old. OH and it's silly but both FireHoth and Little Man have seen it, I'm teaching her to "kiss mommy". I get close to her and say "kiss mommy" and make these cute kissing pucker sounds and the last couple of days she's mimic after me. She tries to put her little lips together and kiss and it's so friggen adorable it's giving me cavities everythime I look at her.
I've already gotten like five scrapbooks done for her or in the process and so glad that I got them started when I did, because now I'll I have to do is print out the pages and adhere the pictures. She's really such a good baby, and we have gotten so lucky wiht her. She drinks like a horse, and we are working on getting to that magic four hour of sleep a night. In the next couple of days she'll be moving into her crib and I think she'll sleep even better.
Yes I'm gushing and I just can't help it. She's perfect and beautiful and all ours. We have one more minor legal process to go through in the summer but it'll be easy. Her shower is going to be at the end of March and I'm working on the invites as we speak.
So with some dollies news in the work, and a few have left and a few are out getting new face's, and about four new ones are coming into the house, but wont be here for at least two months, I'm going to be putting up the kids playlist so if you have nothing to do and want to hear some great music that means a lot to me and the kids, come back and take a gander at the lyrics and the posts. And I promise to update more.
Thanks for visiting, mother of two, aaaggghhh, that's just crazy.
I hadn't seen these first photos before. Great! It's wonderful to see Mommy so happy, too, dear. Your two little Sagittarius's will bring much joy.
